Launch installer (as admin on Vista/7/2008) Follow through the installer filling out the necessary information. On the last step, click Finish Later. Restart the computer. Copy the license file to the following directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents\ExtendSim8\ (Windows XP/Server 2003) C:\Users\Public\Documents\ExtendSim8 (Windows Vista/7/Server 2008)
Make sure that the file is not marked as read only after you copy it. Launch the program for the first time. It will read the license file and remove it from the folder.
If the product gives an Unhandled Exception error about an unknown message and unknown block, then the program must be added to the DEP list. Right click on My Computer (or Computer if Vista/7/2008) and click Properties. Go to the advanced properties tab and click on the Performance Settings button and go to the Data Execution Prevention tab. Click on Add and browse to /Program Files/ExtendSim8/ExtendSim.exe and add it to the list.
The program should now launch.

I followed Shaun's install order and both keys work! But there is a trick: Since the license server is in a rack in a noisy room, I was trying to install using remote desktop, but without success. Then in desperation, I tried from the local console using a network Administrator, which worked. Once installed with the network Administrator account though, I could not access FastLock from any other account in the administrator group (including local administrator) remotely, or locally because FastLock would try to install Maestro again and not be able to find the msi.

tcsh seems to be happy, though I got it to work with bash. The first installation was in /aoe which required a lot of script modifications to replace /opt with /aoe. Also, the intel compilers with RavenCFD include the mpi directory, so use it.

Installation notes:
Raven is installed locally in /opt as well as on /aoe nfs. Either Raven directory works, but the compiler may only work locally, which is in /opt/Intel, so I keep the local version in /opt up-to-date.
To use the local version,
tcsh source /aoe/Raven/ravenorc.csh
To use the nfs version in /aoe,
tcsh source /aoe/Raven/ravenrc.csh
The script sets the Raven environment, then calls a script to set up the Intel compiler environment, which is only for tcsh. It is easy enough to make a version for bash, but I did not want to stray so far from the base install.
The license file for /aoe is a cat'ed combination of all the license files.
