I used essential.tar.gz and redhat62-x86.tar.gz. These are first stored in
/usr/local/Gasp, and copied to /usr/local and untared themselves (tar -xvf foo.tar) into /usr/local/AeroSoft. lam-* stuff did not seem to be required.
I deleted the temporary Gasp directory.
The variables did not seem to matter; I did set up the links though:
ln -s bin-redhat62-x86 bin

The -s0 option sets the startup time to zero after the daemon is launched.
Log_file is the name of a file where you want asi_elmd to record license usage
and errors messages. A suggested filename for the log_file is

Gasp should work at this point.
